Canines Care ~ Give Hope ~ Save Lives
Event Details and Schedule
The Des Moines County Bark For Life will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 around the Skate House at Lake Starker in Crapo Park located on the south side of Burlington, Iowa. See Map.
The event will be held from 1 - 4 pm. The tentative schedule is as follows:
12:30-1:00 pm Registration and sign in
1:00 pm Welcome, Sponsor Recognition and Blessing of the Participants
1:15 pm Costume Contest
2:00 pm Stunt Contest
2:45 pm Vocal Contest
3:30 pm Parade of Dogs
4:00 pm Special Award Ceremony

Rules for participation:
- Registration is $10 on or before August 14th and $15 the day of the event. Registration is per team of one canine and one human only payable to the American Cancer Society.
- Only registered canines and their human owners are allowed to participate.
- Canines are to be leashed at all times with the exception if needed of while performing in contests.
- All registered canines must be able to present proof of current shots. Any dogs who appear to be in ill health will be deferred from participating.
- Any canine who appears to presents a threat to other participants will be turned away.
- Human participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Human team members are required to clean up after their canine teammates.
